The 2024 National Design Specification (NDS) for Wood Construction, designated as ANSI/AWC NDS-2024 was approved as an American National Standard (ANS) in October 2023. This presentation will discuss how the NDS is referenced in the International Building Code and International Residential Code and highlight changes introduced in the 2024 edition. The course will discuss shear design, notching, connections, and fire design changes. This course will empower learners to specify building projects that ensure code regulation and occupant safety.

- Explore the references of the 2024 NDS in the International Building Code and International Residential Code.
